SALT SPRAY TEST: The salt spray (or salt fog) test is a standardized test method used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of materials and surface coatings.  Tested in adherence to the ASTM B117 - 5% standard, a very thin film (0.42 to 0.45 mils) of EEZOX^® and all other products was used in order to provide test conditions that parallel its use in firearms.  After 96 hours of rigorous conditions, EEZOX^® scored the ONLY  "EXCELLENT" rating - the highest given.
